In 2006, I received a B.S. degree in Fine Arts from Southern Connecticut State University. Although I was formerly trained as figurative painter in college, after graduating I began to experiment with a more abstract style in my free time. Abstract painting taught me how to let go of striving and perfectionism in my artwork. I found great freedom in the intuitive process, allowing whatever was inside of me to flow out without restraint. The more I engaged in this process the more joy I found in creating.
No matter what medium I'm working in, I always find myself reaching for bright, bold color combinations. In my opinion, color is like a second language!
